Introducing our Solar Backpack to the UNDP Resident Representative in Nigeria

Earlier this month, we had the distinct honor of meeting with the UNDP Resident Representative in Nigeria, Ms. Elsie Attafuah, and her team at the United Nations House in Abuja.

During the meeting, the UNDP provided a comprehensive overview of its structural transformation agenda, emphasizing the importance of building resilient economies and the pivotal role of energy in fostering resilience. The focus on addressing power challenges in Africa aligns perfectly with our mission at IRESS: to power a greener and brighter Africa with sustainable solutions.

We are dedicated to addressing the energy needs of unserved and underserved communities in Nigeria and across Africa and our product lineup, which includes the solar backpack, all-in-one inverters, mini-grids, and solar streetlights, offers innovative and practical solutions that can significantly contribute to the UNDP’s developmental goals on energy.

Among these products, the IRESS solar backpack stands out for its potential to create a transformative impact. This innovative product is designed to promote clean energy access, empower communities, enhance quality education, and foster sustainable economic growth. It is particularly beneficial for students, health workers, artisans, remote workers, and communities in off-grid areas, effectively contributing to the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).

By collaborating closely with the UNDP, we are confident that our renewable energy solutions can be effectively deployed, driving sustainable development and resilience across Africa.

We are excited about the prospects of this collaboration and we believe that together, we can achieve a sustainable future, ensuring that no one is left behind.
